Letter to the Editor: PAT Staff against the Union

The latest communication from the union supporters is another example of misinformation. Misinformation leads to fear. We do NOT work in fear at UNH. Rather we work in an environment where employees are engaged and valued in decision making processes. We work for an employer that provides a superior benefits package even with the planned reductions. Please be sure you really understand what the facts are and how they apply to UNH. What is fact is that collectively the PAT work group will have $500-850K taken out of our paychecks each year. This is an unnecessary added cost for individual PAT employees and the institution. We all know we cannot afford to have additional costs added to the budget equation.
