Healthy UNH Announces Spring into Fitness! Winners

The second fitness challenge sponsored by Healthy UNH saw 64 teams made up of 232 people exercising for 161,039 minutes. The campus-wide event had participants trying to see who could exercise the most in a 30-day period.
Healthy UNH initiative partners with USNH and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care to help employees become better educated about health and health costs while highlighting available resources.
As with Fall into Fitness, the kickoff event in October, Spring into Fitness used friendly competition and the support of team members to get people exercising. Winners were named in three categories – highest team average of minutes spent exercising, average of most varied activities by team, and most improved during the course of the competition.
Highest team average of minutes spent exercising – faculty/staff
- Team Me - 3,836 Minutes
- Ben Walkin - 3,560 Minutes
- Wixson - 2,468 Minutes
Most varied activities (team average) – faculty/staff
- On The Move - 11
- Punky Pam - 7
- Run Like A Mother - 7
Highest team average of minutes spent exercising – student
- Easy Being Green - 2,445
- Team Benton - 2,096
- The Lady Grads - 1,463
Most varied activities (team average) – student
- The Will Burgers - 5.5
- Bahama Mamas - 5.5
- SAE - 3.6
