Single-Stream Recycling Trial Coming Aug. 15

In an effort to make recycling easier, and thus, more effective, Facilities is partnering with Waste Management to implement a trial single-stream recycling program on campus.
With single-stream recycling, there is no need to separate paper from plastic or glass from aluminum; plastics, aluminum, cardboard and paper can be disposed of in the same containers. Sorting takes place elsewhere. The goal is to make recycling so easy everyone will participate.
The trial will take place from Aug. 15 through Dec. 15 in the following buildings:
