WSBE Alumni Speaker Series Feb. 17
February 9, 2011
The WSBE Alumni Speaker Series will present “Looking Forward: The State and Regional Outlook for 2011” Thursday, Feb.17, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Squamscott Room at Holloway Commons.
What should we expect in 2011? The global, national, and regional economic situation has contributed to an environment of uncertainty for businesses in the recent past. This, combined with recent political changes, creates both challenges and opportunities for businesses.
A panel of highly respected experts will discuss business, economic, political and demographic trends and how these important issues are shaping our region. Each panelist will comment on their area of expertise, followed by a discussion and a time for questions.
Panelists include Ross Gittell, James R. Carter Professor, Whittemore School of Business and Economics; Ken Johnson, professor of sociology and senior demographer, The Carsey Institute; and Andrew Smith, associate professor of political science and director of the UNH Survey Center.
