Neil Vroman, associate professor of kinesiology, has been named interim dean of the College of Health and Human Services through July 2013.

“UNH and the college are fortunate to have such an experienced and knowledgeable leader to fill this important role,” Provost John Aber said. “Neil knows the college inside and out, and, as associate dean for many years, is aware of the challenges and opportunities that exist.  He has the respect of his faculty and staff colleague, and I look forward to working with him to advance the mission and goals of the college.”

The former associate dean of CHHS, Vroman came to UNH in 1984. He received a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and went on to do graduate work at New York University, Emory University, and Pennsylvania State University where he received a doctorate in philosophy. Vroman did a post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, School of Hygiene and Public Health.

“It’s both and honor and privilege to assume the interim dean position in the college, and I look forward to taking on the challenges ahead, working for and with our faculty and staff, who have been my friends and colleagues for more than 25 years,” Vroman said.
