More than 100 families enjoyed a picture-perfect autumn afternoon at the Child Study & Development Center’s annual Harvest Festival last week (Thursday, Sept. 23).
The annual event celebrates the coming of fall and children’s learning through the CSDC’s community garden. Children and their parents rode in a mule-drawn wagon, sang songs, read fall-themed books, and explored the garden, picking squash, carrots and peas along the way. Zucchini bread and salsa, both made by the children, and dangling donuts fueled the spirited afternoon.
