'Fiscal Solutions Tour' Comes to UNH Oct. 7

Top national experts will discuss possible solutions to the federal debt and related fiscal challenges facing the country during a “Fiscal Solutions Tour” panel discussion Thursday, Oct. 7.
Dan Innis, dean of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, will moderate the inter-generational dialogue, which will be held at 10 a.m. in Huddleston Hall. The event, which is co-sponsored by the Concord Coalition and the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The panelists are:
- Robert Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition
- David Walker, president and CEO of The Peter G. Peterson Foundation and former comptroller general of the United States
- Isabel Sawhill, senior fellow, economic studies, Brookings, and former associate director of the Office of Management and Budget
- Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of The American Action Forum and former director of the Congressional Budget Office
The discussion aims to present diverse perspectives on fiscal issues. Potential discussion topics include changes to defense and domestic spending, Social Security and Medicare, the health care system, tax policy, and the federal budget.
