USNH policy requires you to change your computer passwords at least once every six months. Take a few minutes now to do so, and put a reminder in your calendar for next fall. This practice will help keep your personal information and sensitive documents safe from unwanted intrusion and theft.
Instructions for changing IT account passwords are available at accounts.unh.edu, under “password reset tools.” In addition, check with the administrators of other UNH systems or services not listed on the web page below about how to change your password on those systems. To view how password changes may impact other systems, visit it.unh.edu/accounts/changeyourpassword.
Important tips for changing your password:
- Use a wired connection.
- If you are using UNH secure wireless and experience problems after changing your passwords, re-run the secure wireless setup application, available at it.unh.edu/wireless under ‘secure UNH wireless’.
For questions about changing your password, call the UNH IT help desk at 2-4242.
