It's Parking Permit Renewal Time

Parking passes held by faculty and staff will be automatically renewed in August unless Transportation Services is otherwise notified. Permit holders should receive notification (via e-mailed or regular mail) by Aug. 20 that their passes have been renewed.

The notices should be checked to make sure all the information is correct—home address, vehicle data, etc. Address changes sent to Human Relations don’t result in updates to Transportation’s records.

If changes need to be made, or you don’t receive the notice, call Transportation Services at 2-2010. Permits expire Aug. 31.

Renewal notices won’t be sent to anyone who didn’t renew a permit last year. All parking tickets and fines must be paid prior to prior to renewal.

Payroll deductions are available to benefits-eligible employees who had a permit last year. Under the automatic renewal option, two consecutive pre-tax deductions of $25 ($50 total) will be taken from the employee’s paycheck for the new pass.

A second option allows parking permit holders to authorized payroll deductions (also two $25 payments) for one year only and then renew the pass annually. Relevant information would have to be provided each year.

If desired, an employee may pay by check, money order or, in person, with cash or a Visa or MasterCard credit card.

A parking permit application can be obtained at Transportation Services. Proof of employment is required.
