UNH Magazine Announces Fiction-Writing Contest

January 13, 2010

The UNH Magazine is holding a contest for previously unpublished short stories of 3,500 words or less. The contest is open to UNH alumni and current UNH students.

Novelist and National Book Award winner Alice McDermott, who earned a master’s in English from UNH in 1978, will serve as judge for the contest.

An award-winning magazine published three times per year by UNH, UNH Magazine is distributed to more than 115,000 alumni, parents, faculty and staff.

Contest submissions must be postmarked by Feb. 1, 2010 and may be mailed to Fiction Contest, Elliott Alumni Center, 9 Edgewood Rd., Durham, NH 03824, or e-mailed to alumni.editor@unh.edu.
