Kurlanska Receives Eleanor Roosevelt Global Citizenship Award
April 21, 2010
Courtney Kurlanska, lecturer in the department of anthropology, has been awarded the Eleanor Roosevelt Global Citizenship Award from the Center for a Public Anthropology. This honor is based on Kurlanska’s exceptionally effective participation in Public Anthropology’s community action online Website project as well her wider activities in the public sphere. Only a select few – less than 5 percent of the faculty teaching in introductory anthropology courses across North America – receive this award.
