The Benefit of Knowing – WISE Up

The benefits fair is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, with open enrollment set for
Oct. 26 through Nov. 6.
Want to change the beneficiary on your life insurance policy or the way it would be divided? Need to add someone to your health insurance? Open enrollment is the time to do it.
In the meantime, anything you need to know about your employment status at UNH is available on WISE, the online information site for USNH workers. Any employee who receives benefits can set up a WISE account.
This is where you can look up you personal, employment, and payroll information. You can make changes to deductions, sign up for direct deposit or switch from that deposit from one lending institution to another. You also can look at your employment history and tax forms.
And you can do this any time, anywhere. All you need is your social security or personal identification number.
It’s simple. Go to http://wise.unh.edu. On the left, you’ll see a link to the WISE brochure and one that says “WISE tips.’ If you read this before you start, it will likely answer most of the questions you might have. Check out the questions about PIN numbers, too.
Then click “login here” and enter your social security number/user ID number and your PIN. If it’s your first time on WISE, you’re PIN is your birthday; you’ll be asked to change it after that initial access.
From there you can go to employee services where you’ll find information on your benefits, leave balances, pay stubs and W4 data. Or you can go to personal information. This is where you can make all kinds of changes: emergency contact, PIN, name, security question.
Need help? If it’s a problem with logging in, contact the IT help desk at 2-4242. If you have a question regarding the information you see, contact your Campus Human Resource Office or your Campus Payroll Office.
