The NH Authors Series kicks off Sept. 27 with children’s author Marty Kelley. Humorist Rebecca Rule will interview Kelley at 2 p.m. in the 5th floor Courtyard Reading Room in Dimond Library.
Kelley is the author and illustrator of seven children’s books including the best selling “Fall Is Not Easy” as well as the Ladybug Picture Book Award-nominated “Winter Woes.” He was the illustrator for the 2005 NH Summer Reading Program.
A former second grade teacher, Kelley is now pursuing his writing and art full time. He also spends his time giving school presentations where he helps introduce thousands of students to the joys of writing.
A New Boston resident, Kelley has been a drummer in a heavy metal band, a baker, a cartoonist, a newspaper art director, a balloon delivery man and an animator.
NH Authors Series interviews, conducted in front of a live audience with an opportunity for questions, are recorded by New Hampshire Public Television for future broadcast.
The program is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please register online or call 2-1540. Light refreshments will be served and the author will be available to sign books.
