More than 3,000 first-year students had their photo taken with President Mark Huddleston (front center) on the Thompson Hall lawn Friday Aug. 28 during a break from moving into their dorm rooms.

A new tradition ‘Pat the Cat’ was instituted as students touched the Wildcat sculpture outside the Whittemore Center for good luck.
