What's Happening? Find Out With the Revamped Calendar

Whether you’re looking to attend a seminar or a football game or want to
know the last day you can drop a class, you can find it on the newly-revamped
UNH calendar.
The one-stop source of information allows users to see all university events
at a glance.
“This new software program makes the whole process much faster and more
efficient,” says Susan Entz, director of Presidential Events and Programs. “A huge benefit is that it’s so user
friendly.”
You get to the calendar from the dropdown menu on the home page. From there,
navigating is simple, using the options listed on the left side. “All events” takes
you to the calendar that shows everything happening on campus for the month.
You can also check things out by the day or by the year. Or, you can opt to look
at a particular department’s own calendar. If you don’t see what
you’re looking for, events can be searched by type or venue.
When you subscribe to a calendar and a new event is added—ie, another hockey
game is scheduled by athletics—you’ll get an email letting you know
there’s something new. You can also add an event to your personal calendar.
(Hover on the event until the information box appears. Click the date icon on
the bottom left of the page.)
Another component that makes the new calendar so friendly is the ‘UNH Calendar
Help’ page. (The link is on the left side of the calendar home page under ‘other
links.’) Here’s where you find out what constitutes an event, the
kind that can be posted, and how to make that happen. Calendar managers review
submissions every weekday and approved events show up on the calendar within
72 hours.
“Changes can be made in real time. Anyone can use it. This program is easy
to use and so functional,” Entz says.
The event management software is used by more than 800 colleges and universities.
