Long-term Care Enrollment Period Has Been Extended to March 27

The long-term care insurance enrollment period for eligible, actively-at-work employees has now been extended until March 27.  As long as employees enroll by the deadline, applications will be accepted for coverage without having to provide proof of good health.

USNH recently introduced a new voluntary group long-term care insurance plan, underwritten by John Hancock Life Insurance Company, which eligible employees and their family members can apply for. Long-term care insurance offers flexible coverage for long-term care services in a wide range of settings such as care received in nursing homes, alternate care facilities, adult day care centers and your home.  It also provides coverage for home modification, caregiver training, emergency medical response systems and home safety checks.  Information about the plan and a personalized rate quote were recently mailed to eligible employees’ home addresses.
