UNH Makes Times Square Marquee

The news that UNH is now receiving most of its power from the gas that comes from trash made its way to New York City and a marquee in Times Square. The official announcement was made May 23 at commencement.

The Ecoline project is the result of a partnership with Waste Management of New Hampshire, Inc. and its landfill in Rochester. The captured purified gas travels 12.7 miles along an underground pipeline to reach UNH’s cogeneration plant.
