The greens at the Organic Garden Club's weekly farm stand were greener than ever last Wednesday, thanks to the club's first fossil-fuel-free farm transport. Six club members -- including farm manager Ben Tillinghast and Helen Clark, in this photo -- pulled produce in two bike trailers and hand-carried a table and tent from the organic garden off Spinney Lane to their weekly farm stand at Murkland Courtyard.
"It's been a dream of ours to use bike carts and not to have to use a car at all," says OGC president Tyler Sildve '11.
The group will forgo car transport for the rest of the season. Anyone with an underutilized bike trailer they'd like to donate to the effort can contact Sildve at email@example.com.
