UNH Technology Master Plan in Process
By Computing and Information Services Staff
February 25, 2009
UNH is currently undergoing a master planning process to align technology goals with UNH’s priorities. This initiative is complementary to the university’s current strategic planning process, and is critical in identifying and addressing technology needs of UNH students, faculty, and staff.
The technology master plan is being commissioned by the Steering Committee for Information Technology (SCIT), whose members are seeking input and commentary from the university community to help inform the process.
The target completion date for the technology master plan is April 30, 2009. It will then be shared widely for comment before being adopted by SCIT and recommended to President Mark Huddleston for approval.
Input for the plan is being solicited in four ways:
- Through the formation of topic-specific focus groups
- Through consultation with existing organizations
- Through town hall meetings open to the university community
- Through comments posted at techplan.unh.edu
In the coming weeks documents will be posted at techplan.unh.edu for review. Your participation is strongly encouraged, as your input is a valuable part of this process.
