USNH has introduced a new long-term care insurance plan for eligible employees and their family members. The group policy is underwritten by John Hancock Life Insurance Company.
Eligible, actively working employees who enroll by March 13, 2009, will be accepted for coverage without having to provide proof of good health.
The plan offers flexible coverage for long-term care services in a wide range of settings, including nursing homes, alternate care facilities, adult day care centers and one’s home. It also provides coverage for home modification, caregiver training, emergency medical response systems and home safety checks.
Details on the plan and a personalized rate quote were recently mailed to eligible employees’ home addresses. Informational meetings, conducted by a John Hancock long-term care representative, will be held on campus Thursday, March 5, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, March 6, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the MUB 334-336.
Individual appointments can be scheduled for Monday, March 9, or Wednesday, March 11. Those sessions will be held in MUB 304.
Call RetirementGuard, 1-888-793-6111, for an appointment time. Telephone consultations are also available.
