Passings: Ernie Gale, Former Executive Director of the Alumni Association

Ernie Gale, former executive director of the UNH Alumni Association, died Friday, Feb. 13, in Chester, Penn.
Gale came to UNH in 1998 from the Penn State Alumni Association where he was the director of program development. Prior to his career in alumni relations, Gale was in the U.S. Navy. He retired from UNH in 2004.
Gale earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Penn State and his Navy commission through the ROTC program. He earned a master’s degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and four daughters, the youngest of whom graduated from UNH in 2002.
