Healthy UNH and Campus Recreation Present 'Get Fit Again in 2010!'
December 16, 2009
During the week of Jan.11, 2010, the Hamel Recreation Center will be free for all UNH faculty and staff members and all UNH adjunct (non-benefited) employees with their valid UNH ID.
The Campus Rec Center facility will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Participants will be able to use the fitness center and indoor track, take free fitness classes, play games on the athletic courts, and meet with athletic trainers—all for free. Participants are also able to bring an adult guest to the facility for only $10 per day.
This is a wonderful opportunity to jump start your fitness routine and become familiar with the facility while the students are away and the center is less busy.
For benefited UNH employees, information will be also be available about Harvard Pilgrim’s Wellness Connection Programs, which include receiving up to $500 per year/per family in fitness club membership fees and $200 per year/per family in reimbursements for health education classes.
The Hamel Recreation Center is an approved Harvard Pilgrim Health Club; sign-up at the front desk and then work out a minimum of eight times per month to be eligible. Campus Recreation will handle all the paperwork with Harvard Pilgrim.
