In response to industry demands, the department of computer science is launching a new software systems engineering certificate program. The program begins Feb. 1, 2010; registration is open now.
This certificate program is for talented engineers who would like to transition into higher-value software systems engineering positions such as software system engineer, software architect, chief engineer, technical director, and lead system engineer.
“Engineers who are successful at this ‘big picture’ work are rare, yet the demand for these skills is high,” says Phil Hatcher, professor and chair of the computer science department at UNH. “Graduates of this certificate program will be attractive candidates for senior technical positions in the software industry in New Hampshire and beyond.”
The certificate requires four courses for completion; courses can be transferred to a Master of Science program. To register, or for more information, go to http://www.cs.unh.edu/certificate.htm.
