Register Now for Fall Classes
Continuing Education registration for fall 2009 credit courses is underway. Admission to a degree program is not required. For a list of available courses, visit www.learn2.unh.edu.
USNH Tuition waivers, checks, credit cards and cash are acceptable forms of payment. USNH faculty/staff tuition waiver forms are available in the registrar’s office, Business Services and Human Resources. If you have questions about tuition benefits or eligibility, call HR at 2-0501 or go to www.unh.edu/hr/tuition.htm.
If you have any questions about enrolling in credit courses as a non-degree student, stop by the registrar’s office in Room 106 Stoke Hall or call at 2-1500 ext. 3, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
MUB Copy Center Open
The MUB Copy Center has reopened for business after being closed for the month of July as part of an initiative to reduce expenses. The new hours are 9 .am. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Questions? Call 2-1984.
The ID Office has recently sent new ID cards to all UNH employees. Social security numbers are no longer being used for campus identification purposes. The new cards have been encoded with the new ID number.
Anyone who has not yet received a new card can contact the ID Office at 2-2273, or stop by the office in Holloway Commons as soon as possible. Previous IDs are no longer valid, and will not work.
UNH Police Department Auction Aug. 23

Associate Director Featured in NHPTV's Sustainability Video "Planet Granite"
Sara Cleaves, associate director of the Office of Sustainability, was recently featured in
a video on NH Public Television’s Planet Granite, a community outreach program aimed at raising awareness about and presenting solutions to sustainability practices.
Retirement Party for Linda Wood
A retirement party for Linda Wood, senior business service assistant in the COLSA Business Service Center will place Aug. 7, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Rudman Hall G11 meeting area.
Office of Conduct & Mediation Seeks Volunteers
The Office of Conduct & Mediation is seeking faculty & staff volunteers for the coming year. This is a great way to get involved on campus and have meaningful contact with students who may not be making the best choices. No prior disciplinary or legal experience necessary.
Take part in the hearing process by serving on hearing boards, advising students or administering appeals. Scheduling and time commitment are flexible based on your needs. Extensive training is provided and will take place at your convenience in August and September.

Biofeedback: Individual sessions with a computer-based biofeedback program are available at no cost. Biofeedback technology uses electronic equipment to measure and monitor changes in one’s internal physiological state while teaching breathing, relaxation and meditation exercises. Staff tuition waivers need to be turned in to Business Services for the UNH/Durham fall undergraduate tuition billing by Aug. 6, 2009. Forms can be obtained at Human Resources or the Business Services Office.

Signals Going Paperless
Signals, the CIS newsletter, will go paperless starting FY10, both in the spirit of sustainability, and in accordance with President Mark Huddleston’s call to restrict printing and mailing costs as stated in his April 2009 budget letter.
Our online presence will improve to reflect Web 2.0 technologies, which will allow for both a two-way communication stream and a more feature-rich environment. Stay tuned for more details in June Signals.

Weight Watchers at Work meets every Monday at noon in the Wildcat Den in the MUB. New members are welcome at any time. The registration fee will be prorated if you join after a session has started. Yoga Classes at Campus Rec
Basic hatha style yoga classes are offered at the Campus Recreation Center Monday through Saturday for students, rec center members and non-members, and the community. Six-class session: $30/student or recreation center member; $50/non-members. Basic exercise mats provided. Yoga mats may be purchased at the Recreation Center or you may bring your own mat/towel.

Lactation Room Available
Dimond Library and the UNH President’s Commission on the Status of
Women would like to call attention to a lactation room that is available
in Dimond Library. This private room contains a hospital-grade Medela breast
pump, a gliding rocker, a refrigerator, and soft music. The room is designed
for nursing and milk expression. A key can be checked out at the main circulation
