New CIO Hired

Joanna Young has been hired to succeed Tom Franke as the university’s chief information officer.
A UNH graduate, Young has worked at Liberty Mutual for 20 years where she rose to the position of senior vice president and chief information officer, corporate systems and shared services.
She has successfully managed a $60 million budget, 40,000 customers, more than 300 staff and 50 outsource partnerships.
In September, Franke accepted the position of CIO and executive director of enterprise computing for the University System of New Hampshire but maintained his current position until a replacement was found.
Young begins her job May 4.
