United Campus Ministry Benefit Concert Thursday, April 30

April 22, 2009

The United Campus Ministry (UCM) at UNH invites you to an evening of local music featuring Sunday Afternoon and UCM's own Chuck Goeller on Thursday, April 30, at the Community Church of Durham on Main Street.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for dessert, coffee and socializing. Silent auction items (including vacation time at a cabin on Lake Sebago and a week’s stay at a home in Arizona) to benefit UCM will be open for bidding throughout the evening. The musical performances begin at 7 p.m. and will end at approximately 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

Sunday Afternoon is a folk and old time music band whose music features guitar, fiddles, banjo and accordion played by Tom Franke, Karen Smith, Malcolm Smith, Ryan Thomson and Brennish Thomson.

Goeller is UCM's administrative director and is a singer, musician and songwriter with diverse musical tastes focusing on traditional and roots, country and bluegrass, including a song or two by Johnny Cash.

Through its programs and activities, campus ministry center and presence in the community, United Campus Ministry provides opportunities for spiritual growth and service to the community. For more information about United Campus Ministry visit www.unh.edu/campusministry
