Open Forum Dates for Director of EOS

The search to fill the position of director of the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans,
and Space (EOS) will bring four candidates to campus during May and June.
Candidates include Harlan Spence, professor of astronomy at Boston University; Anthony Freeman, manager of the Earth Science Research and Advanced Concepts Office at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology; Jo Handelsman, professor and chair of the department of bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin; and John Grunsfeld, astronaut with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

received his Ph.D. in geophysics and space physics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Freeman (http://www.unh.edu/news/docs/freemancv.pdf)
received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, in astrophysics.
Handelsman (http://www.unh.edu/news/docs/handelsmancv.pdf)
received her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Grunsfeld (http://www.unh.edu/news/docs/grunsfeldcv.pdf) received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago.
