President Huddleston Encourages Volunteering for Commencement
April 15, 2009
To the Campus Community,
Commencement is just around the corner – on Saturday, May 23 — and I am hoping you will join me there and volunteer your time to help make possible this joyous event which holds so much significance in the lives of our graduates and our university.
An estimated 2500 students will take part; as you can imagine, welcoming these students and their families to this campus-wide celebration entails significant logistics. One of the hallmarks of the UNH student experience is the sense of community that exists among students, staff, and faculty. In this spirit, it would be wonderful if our staff and faculty were well represented at the ceremony to send the students off and wish them well.
I strongly encourage you to take part in the commencement ceremony by giving your time to ensure students and their families enjoy a memorable event that celebrates the culmination of hard work, sacrifice, perseverance and commitment. To volunteer, please register at: http://www.unh.edu/presidentialevents/commencement/volunteer.html
I look forward to seeing you there.
Mark W. Huddleston
