From President Mark Huddleston
I am writing today to inform you that after six years of exemplary service as Provost and Executive Vice President, Bruce Mallory will be returning to the UNH faculty at the end of this academic year.
On behalf of the University community, I would like to thank Dr. Mallory for his many contributions and academic leadership. His accomplishments are many, including the development of the first comprehensive Academic Plan for the University, which has served as the roadmap for the schools and colleges as well as many of the other offices on campus. Dr. Mallory completed the review process for the Discovery Program and began the implementation of the core curriculum recommendations of the General Education Study Committee. He also led the review and revitalization of the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture, which has resulted in a more robust college with relevant curriculum and appropriately structured departments.
We are fortunate that Dr. Mallory plans to stay and continue to contribute to the academic mission of UNH. After an administrative leave, he will resume his role as a full professor in the Department of Education. I am in the process of organizing a search for the next provost and will announce details shortly.
