The annual Benefits and Wellness Fair sponsored by human resources takes place Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MUB in the Granite State and Strafford rooms. Representatives from HR and the university’s insurance carriers, vendors and businesses will be available to answer questions.
All benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to attend. In particular this year, employees may have questions related to the newly implemented health reimbursement account. HR representatives will be available at the benefits fair to discuss this new perk which is aimed at offsetting health care costs.
The 2009 open enrollment period begins Oct. 27 and runs through Nov. 7. This is the time when employees can make changes to their health insurance, retirement, and other benefits offered by the university.
Changes to benefits can be made online during the period at http://MyUSNHBenefits.net. Even if you aren’t making any changes, it’s a good idea to log in and check your status and beneficiaries. You can also review options at WISE (Web information system for employees) at http://wise.unh.edu.
Flexible spending accounts must be updated annually and the status of dependent students must be verified as well.
