IT Governance and Technology Master Planning Steering Committee Formed
May 7, 2008
President Mark W. Huddleston has announced the creation of a new university-wide
committee to guide information technology (IT) planning. According to Huddleston, “IT
is an important strategic resource and we want to be always prepared for critical
infrastructure and budgetary decisions we constantly face in this rapidly changing
environment.”
The Steering Committee for Information Technology (SCIT) will be chaired by
Dick Cannon, vice president for administration and finance.
One of SCIT’s most important charges is the development of a Technology
Master Plan for UNH. Another of SCIT’s early efforts will be to guide
the development of a more comprehensive IT governance system that involves
technology users in the ongoing planning process. UNH Chief Information Officer
Tom Franke will provide overall leadership to the broader IT governance system.

Plan can be found at: http://cis.unh.edu/unhitgovplan.
