Nominations for President's Excellence through Diversity Award Sought

The Office of the President, in conjunction with the Office of the Vice Provost
and Chief Diversity Officer, will present a faculty and staff award to individuals
who have demonstrated excellence through outstanding leadership in promoting
equity, advancing the status of under-represented groups, and serving as role
models at UNH.
At this time, I am seeking nominations for the third annual 2008 President’s
Excellence through Diversity Award of university faculty and staff members.
The award recipients will be honored at the diversity banquet, to be held Saturday,
May 3, from 6 – 9:30 p.m., Huddleston Hall ballroom.
Please help to recognize a deserving faculty and staff member for their campus
and community leadership to create a more inclusive community by submitting
your nominations on http://www.nominations.unh.edu, by April 11.
Criteria: nominees must be a full-time faculty or staff member with a minimum
of three years of service who have "demonstrated excellence through outstanding
leadership in promoting equity, advancing the status of under-represented groups,
and serving as a role model at UNH and in the community.”
Previous President’s Excellence through Diversity Award recipients include
Provost Bruce L. Mallory, professor David Watters, and vice president Mark
Rubinstein. They were selected for their distinguished leadership and dedicated
service in creating inclusive communities.
