Wildcat Transit Honored by FTA

Wildcat Transit, the largest transit system in the state for the last three
years, has been recognized by the Federal Transportation Administration for
its efforts to increase ridership.
UNH was among 10 public transportation providers to receive the Success
in Enhancing Ridership Award presented by the FTA this week in Washington,
D.C.
Wildcat Transit was cited for using better traveler information, nicer bus
shelters (with solar power lighting), and new biodiesel transit buses, which
helped increase ridership by 21 percent.
A website with regularly updated transit and parking information has also
made it easier for people to use the transit system
