Professor Wins Book Prize

Carol Conaway, assistant professor of communication and women’s
studies, recently received the Letitia Woods Brown Memorial
Book Prize for best anthology from the Association of Black
Women Historians for her anthology about African American women's
history, “Black Women's Intellectual Traditions: Speaking
Their Minds.”(University of VT Press).
The competition is open to all books and articles about African
American women's history published in the last year, including
those written by members and non-members of ABWH.
