President Huddleston Attends PAT Council Meeting
October 10, 2007
PAT Council members got the chance to chat with UNH's new president when he attended their monthly meeting last week.
President Mark Huddleston has been making a point of getting acquainted with
as many departments and groups on campus as he can since he came to the university
this summer.
Huddleston spoke briefly then took questions from the council, many of whom
wanted to know how he saw their role. When asked to identify top priorities,
he said the more important mission is for him to spend time listening.
He did, however, note that financial stability for the university is a major
priority.
In other news, the council was reminded that nominations for open seats are
still being accepted. The council holds elections every fall for 10 of its
20 districts. Council representatives serve two-year terms.
