Michele Dillon, professor of sociology, has been elected president-elect of
the Association for the Sociology of Religion (ASR), an international scholarly
association (formed in 1938) that "seeks to advance theory and research
in the sociology of religion."
David Finkelhor, professor of sociology and director of the Crimes against
Children Research Center, has been selected as a member of the 2007 cohort
of American Society of Criminology Fellows, a group "recognized for their
scholarly contributions to criminology and distinction in the discipline."
