Former UNH Student and Administrator Becomes College President

Michael C. Maxey, who completed the CAGS program in Counseling at UNH
and became the director of the Liberal Arts Advising Center (now the University
Advising and Career Center) in 1980, and then the coordinator of teacher
education in 1982, has been named the next president of Roanoke College
in Salem, Virginia.
Maxey’s wife, Terri, worked in the MUB and in the Financial Aid
Office while they lived here. He left UNH in 1985 to return to Virginia.
He is a native of Bassett, Va.
