Important Information for UNH Commencement May 19
May 16, 2007
Access for General Public Begins at 8:45 a.m.
UNH will celebrate its 137th Commencement Saturday, May 19. Because the
speakers are former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, university
officials expect an increase in attendance and heavy traffic in the area
between 6:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The general public will not have access to Cowell Stadium and the Whittemore
Center (simulcast location) until 8:45 a.m. A bracelet system is in place
to allow family and friends of the graduates priority access.
Guests without a bracelet are encouraged to congregate at the wildcat
sculpture on Main Street in front of the Whittemore Center for coffee
until 8:45 a.m. Those attending are encouraged to tune in to radio stations
WTSN 1270 AM or WBYY 98.7 FM for traffic and parking updates.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on New Hampshire Public Television
and live streamed on www.nhptv.org and www.unh.edu. NHPTV can be seen
on Channel 11 Durham, 15 Hanover, 18 Pittsburg, 49 Littleton, 52 Keene
and digital channels 57 Durham, 48 Littleton, 49 Keene.
