Dining Achieves Top Scores on National Survey
March 28, 2007
Dining Services conducted a survey produced by NACUFS, National Association of College and University Food Services, in the fall of 2007. Distributed electronically through the dining website, this survey asked students, faculty, staff and other patrons of UNH Dining facilities to rate a variety of areas including cleanliness of facilities, atmosphere and speed of service for each retail and dining hall facility.
The results were based on 89,669 completed surveys of which 1,298 represented UNH Dining. When compared to 86 other schools of similar size, UNH scored the highest with an average of 4.21 out of 5. The nearest competitor scored an average of 3.86. Areas UNH Dining took highest marks were in:
- Location of facility
- Appearance of facility
- Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
- Cleanliness of facility
- Speed of service
"We're extremely excited that these results reflect the feedback we get from parents, students and other guests, stating that we have a top-notch operation", says Jon Plodzik, director of dining. "But even with the fantastic outcome, we will continue to work tirelessly to improve areas where we received lower marks to ensure that we stay on top and give our guests the outstanding service and dining options they've come to expect."
