UNH Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Dave Matta
and Mark Adam were awarded the Patrick Carlson Prize for
academic achievement and significant work experience. This
award was established by the family and classmates of Patrick
Carlson, a nontraditional student that loved to learn, as
a way to honor his legacy.
Matta is the owner/operator of Luisa’s Italian Pizzeria,
Inc. He said, “Going back to school after 30 years was
a great challenge that has opened my eyes to a myriad of opportunities.”
Matta chose the UNH program located on the Manchester campus
for its reputation for entrepreneurship and accreditation,
as well as its convenient location.
Adam is a principle engineer at Wind River Systems. He said, “I
attended graduate school for the purpose of earning the credential
and developing the skills necessary to move into a management
position.”
Both Matta and Adam expect to complete their degree requirements
this month.
