Lori Parent Steps Down From OS Council

The OS Council chose their incumbents to serve during the upcoming year
with Jason Brodeur staying on as chairman and Matty Leighton continuing
as recorder. Representative Lori Parent, citing a heavy workload, has resigned.
Parent announced her decision during the December OS meeting where Brodeur
and Leighton were reelected. Brodeur noted open seats on the board and
urged current council members to let interested candidates know they don’t
necessarily have to represent the department where they work.
Leighton suggested another way to get new members would be to have representatives
visit various departments and talk with constituents. She also presented
the idea of having an information table in the MUB and a notice on the
Discussion at the brief meeting centered around today’s annual retreat
being held at the Alumni Center. Anyone who would like to join the council
is encouraged to attend. The tri-council retreat replaces the PAT and OS
Council regular monthly meetings. Those resume in February on the first
and second, respectively, Wednesday.
