Collaborators Book Wins Award

A book that UNH and UNHM library faculty contributed to has received the
Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction Section
Ilene F. Rockman Publication of the Year Award, which recognizes an outstanding
work related to instruction in a library environment that’s been
published in the preceding two years.
The book is entitled Centers for Learning: Writing Centers and Libraries
in Collaboration.
Library archivist Elizabeth Slomba co-wrote the chapter “It might
come in handy: composing a writing archive at the University of New Hampshire
: a collaboration between the Dimond Library and the Writing Across The
Curriculum/Connors Writing Center, 2001-2003” with Cynthia Gannett,
Kate Tirabassi and Amy Zenger.
The chapter “A library, learning center, and classroom collaboration:
a case study” was co-written by Carolyn White of the UNHM library,
Margaret Pobywajlo, is the director of the Learning Center at UNHM.
