New Writing Program Head Named

Professor Lee Seidel will serve as interim director of the university writing program for the 2007-2008 academic year. Seidel succeeds Elliott Gruner, who leaves the university on August 13 to begin his duties as associate professor of English and director of composition at Plymouth State University in the fall.

Seidel served for many years as director of the Center for Teaching Excellence and, until recently, served as a member of the University Writing Committee.
