April 11, 2007
The New Hampshire College and University Compliance Assistance Cooperative
Program (NHC3UA) has been chosen to receive the 2007 EPA Environmental
Merit Award in recognition of its commitment to the environment.
Co-sponsored by UNH and Dartmouth College, NHC3UA was established in 2005,
the outcome of the two having worked together to better their environmental
health and safety programs. Membership now includes 16 additional New Hampshire
universities and colleges.
The EPA’s Environmental Merit award is given to outstanding environmental
advocates who have made “significant contributions toward preserving
and protecting our natural resources,” according to the notification
from the EPA.
The award will be presented at a special ceremony at Faneuil Hall in Boston
Wednesday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is a celebration of
environmental achievement in New England.
