Professional Development Grant Deadline is Feb. 1

The next Irvine Professional Development Grant deadline is Feb. 1.  Information about the grant and the application is available at:  http://www.unh.edu/hr/pod/pdfs/Irvine_Grant_Info_App.pdf. The Irvine Professional Development Grant is open to all benefits-eligible administrative office professional staff after completing at least one year of service. This includes staff at the Durham/Manchester campuses and cooperative extension offices. Previous recipients of grants are ineligible until three years have elapsed from the decision on their previously successful application. Eligible Irvine Professional Development Grant opportunities might include conferences, workshops and seminars, both on and off campus; UNH courses not covered under existing benefits; academic courses not offered within the university system; or travel and accommodations for off campus courses, workshops, etc. The Irvine Professional Development Grant is funded for $1,000 annually and is awarded bi-annually with a maximum individual award of $500 in any fiscal year (July-June). Deadline for Parents Assocation Grant Proposal is Feb. 7

COLSA Dean’s Office Has Moved

COLSA Dean’s Office has moved to Rudman Hall. CPR and First Aid Classes Available

Campus Recreation is offering a CPR and First Aid classes during work hours so that faculty/staff may be able to take advantage of it during this time while students are away. Adult CPR will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, noon to 4 p.m. Adult CPR, and First Aid will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 1:30 to 4 p.m. A maximum of eight people can particpate in the CPR class and 20 in the First Aid class. The cost is $35 for Adult CPR only, $28 for First Aid only and $45 for both. Registration is at the Recreation Center during all open hours. For information, call 2-2031 and speak to Kathy Casler or Linda Hayden. Additional courses are offered throughout the semester at a variety of times.
