Credentials

Ph.D., Fluid Mechanics, Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland, 2008
M.Sc. Eng., Mechanics and Machine Construction, University of Technology, Poland, 2003

Dr. Malecha's research interests are in the fields of fluid dynamics and physical applied mathematics. His research involves the mathematical modeling of the incompressible fluids by particle methods, finite difference and spectral methods. His specific areas of interest include as well Biological, Industrial and Oceanographic Fluid Dynamics. His most current research interest is multi-scale modeling in Oceanography.

Dr. Ziemowit Malecha received his M.S. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Fluid Mechanics from Wroclaw University of Technology in 2003 and 2008, respectively. From 2009, he has been a Professor Assistant at Wroclaw University of Technology in Institute of Aviation, Processing and Power Machines Engineering (currently on post-doc leave).

He joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty at UNH in 2010 as Postdoctoral Researcher in the Integrated Applied Mathematic Program.

Dr. Malecha has also worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Department of Mathematics (2009), Leeds University, School of Fluid Mechanics, England (2006/2007) and Novi Sad University, Faculty of Technical Science , Serbia (2006, holidays training).
