Glendowlyn (Lyn) Howard is currently a technical program manager at IBM Corporate Information Office Headquarters, where she manages technological and innovative projects that help develop, demonstrate and advance IBM’s green data center technologies.  Prior to her current assignment, she held a variety of leadership and managerial positions including facilities engineer, industrial engineer, quality engineering manager, master production planner and supply chain program manager. 

Her corporate citizenship has been demonstrated through her active participation in IBM’s Black Network New York (BNNY) and Employee Alliance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Empowerment (EAGLE) diversity network groups, in addition to her role as an IBM Club Director, her participation in recruiting activities, and her ongoing mentorship of new hires and junior employees.

Glendowlyn’s diverse interests are realized through her membership on the board of the Community Experimental Repertory Theatre, her singing, her board membership and presidency of the Mid-Hudson Camerata Chorale, her volunteer work for Princeton Alumni Schools Committee and her work on National Engineers Week programs.  Since returning to New Hampshire, she has been a ballot clerk in Durham, a UNH Pathways program mentor and a member of the Whittemore MBA Club board of directors where she coordinated a team to participate in the Seacoast United Way Day of Caring.

Glendowlyn grew up in Durham, New Hampshire. She holds a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Princeton University, an M.S.E. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A. from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics.

She lives with her partner in the seacoast area of New Hampshire where she enjoys cycling, golf, gardening and taking long walks with her Rhodesian Ridgeback dog.
