Welcome to the 4th annual Faculty Instructional Technology Summer Institute (FITSI). We've planned a series of presentations, workshops, and discussions to help you focus on how the use of technology can positively impact student learning. We hope to introduce technologies and techniques that you can practice during FITSI, then incorporate into your courses. You'll also join colleagues from different disciplines in discussions and presentations about what works in your classroom.
We hope our presentations and workshops will give you an opportunity to get to know your fellow FITSI faculty. We'll also familiarize you with services on campus that support teaching and learning. We hope you'll take advantage of these services as you work to integrate technology in your teaching.
Finally, we hope the ideas, exchanges, and information in which you engage throughout the week will provide a foundation for sharing what you've learned with colleagues in your department and school or college. In this way, the experiences you have this week will enable CIS Academic Technology to "spread the word" about how we can help faculty.
