When to Enroll
Benefits eligible faculty and staff may enroll in a University medical plan at the time of hire (enrollment must take place within 30 days of date of hire in order to be effective the 1st of the month following date of hire) and during Open Enrollment, held in the fall of each year.
Open Enrollment – open enrollment is a designated period of time each year, typically in the fall, when faculty and staff can make changes to their benefits to be effective for the new calendar year beginning January 1st.
Change in Status - Faculty and staff may change coverage as a result of a Change in Status within 30 days of the qualifying event. To learn about a Qualified Change in Status, click here.
