All of our on-campus apartment complexes and residence halls have laundry facilities. Each laundry facility is equipped with both 18 pound front-load, stacked Speed Queen dryers and 18 pound front-load Speed Queen washers with the exception of Stoke Hall. In addition to the 18 pound front-load dryers, Stoke Hall also has five (5) front-load 30 pound Speed Queen dryers.

Our family housing complex laundry facility , the Forest Park Apartments, is equipped with eight (8) 30 pound front-load Speed Queen dryers.

How To Use A Speed Queen DryerRemove Lint from Filter
  1. IMPORTANT Before loading your clothes you must clean the lint screen otherwise air cannot circulate effectively through the clothes in the dryer and efficiently dry them. This could cause you to use multiple drying cycles and cost you much more to dry your clothes!
  2. Load only 18lbs of clothes. Be sure to remove all items from clothing pockets otherwise damage may occur to your clothes. The dryer should be approximately ½ full when you look through the front glass. Overloading the dryer will slow the drying time as air cannot circulate effectively through the clothes in the dryer and efficiently dry them. This could also cost you more to dry your clothes!
